National Coordination and Standards

With member rape crisis centres, the RCNI has developed a Quality Assurance Framework and coordinates a variety of projects including the National Statistics Project. All of this is done to ensure that the best possible services are provided to all survivors who contact a rape crisis centre and that the most accurate information by and about survivors is available to plan service development and prevention work.

Externally, the RCNI represents the voices of survivors and of member rape crisis centres nationally in order to ensure that the issues of sexual violence are high on the agenda and that the services survivors deserve and need are available and accessible to as many as possible. The RCNI also acts as a catalyst for the social changes necessary to work towards the prevention of sexual violence.
